Ivisons Lawn Sand, as the name suggests, is a sand-based fertiliser designed to kill weeds and moss on your lawn. It is traditionally used in spring and autumn to improve the health of the grass to give it a healthy green colour. It's formulated to offer two weeks of consistent growth across all sports turfs, amenity, and formal lawns. 

Please note that our product goes further than many lawn sands on the market, as it contains much more Iron than our competitors' products.

More About The Mixture:  Ivisons Lawn Sand is particularly rich in Nitrogen. Nitrogen is the single most important nutrient to add to your lawn. It helps grass grow above the soil, keeps it looking green and helps it photosynthesize. Without nitrogen, plants are unable to produce enough chlorophyll. Without chlorophyll, plants are unable to produce energy and feed themselves to grow. If a lawn doesn’t have enough nitrogen, the grass will be weak and susceptible to disease.  Iron is superb at making your lawn greener and healthier. Iron is a key nutrient that will keep your lawn looking its finest, if the roots are unable to absorb both iron and nitrogen, you'll most likely find yourself with an unpleasant-looking lawn.

When To Use Lawn Sand: 

Ivisons Lawn Sand can be used any time between late spring and early autumn, when grass and weeds are actively growing.  Choose a time when the soil is moist and the grass is dry.  Do not apply during drought or freezing conditions.  Do not apply in windy weather to avoid drift onto plants, patios, decking or ponds.

How To Apply 

• Apply our fertiliser at the recommended rate by hand (remember to wear a glove!) or by using a spreader.
   
• Water the fertiliser in until it dissolves, the ground must be free from frost, so they don’t freeze.
   
• Keep children and pets off the lawn until the granules have dissolved. The granules should dissolve within 24 hours.
   
• Remove or clean the footwear you were wearing during application to avoid damaging surrounding areas such as patios.
